I researched electric fireplaces pretty thoroughly as this was a significant and relatively costly change to our living room environment. We eliminated our zero clearance unit and I wanted something that was both visually appealing and functional. After checking out lots of brands, this is by far the best flame and set up I experienced. I am most impressed by both the height of the flame and the realistic appearance of the flame. Our installation is open on three sides with other options available. Customer service over the phone was very good and offered valuable assistance. It can offer some heat on a 20 amp circuit but it won’t heat your home and our circuit is not dedicated. We have had it installed for some six months now and I could not be more pleased. It adds a great deal to the ambiance of our residence. It was certainly at the high end in cost but worth every cent for the value it adds. I can strongly recommend.
