After doing quite a bit of research and seeing so many lose power I came to the conclusion a that having 2 choices for emergency power generation would be the correct answer. Having Solar is a no brainer but with bad weather you may not be able to charge your solar batteries up with the sun. Thats where this comes into play, quiet enough to run during the day and can give enough power to run some things along with charging your batteries for use during the evening. Quiet enough that the whole neighborhood won't know you have a generator and even your neighbors would have to wonder what that sound is and where is it coming from. This generator will give ample power and can run quite a long time on 1 tank of gas. Heavy enough, it is heavy but I do not believe someone is coming to pick it up and run to steal it. After lifting they may have second thoughts. Broke it in and I highly recommend to break it in. I ran with no load for 30 minutes and changed the oil -- black as can be and lots of silver. Next with a light load a ran it for an hour and once again, changed the oil and came out a bit cleaner. The third time I ran it with a rotating heavy to medium load for an hour and changed the oil which came out clean. Went out, aa week later and filled the tank and with 1 pull she started right on up. Dependable, quiet and ample power who can ask for anymore at this price.

This is a well built generator. It started after setup easily. I like the electric start button, as this is easier than having to use the pull rope. It is a little heavy at just over 200 lbs. I wish the shut off was the same switch as the electric start, instead it is shut off at the fuel supply switch. At $850, it is not he most or least expensive, but middle of the road.

It came very quickly. Put oil and gas in it and with electrical start, it fired right up. The noise level is quieter than my old generator, but certainly not quiet. This appears to be well designed and solid. Fairly easy for a typical person to maneuver around (always run it outside the house).
