I bought this one as an open box, used but in the original box, it looks to me like no one ever touched it, looks and works great.
I don't know why open box?? I did save a couple of hundred bucks but it looks A+++
I put in the right oil and the right gas and it starts right away first o second pull.
Very happy with it so far 3 months.

My home seldom loses power, but when it does, it's very inconvenient, and I never know how long the outage will be. I depend on my PC a lot, and that's why I selected an inverter instead of a generator; I wanted the cleaner power output. Since my home is mostly gas, the electric demand is pretty low, and the 8750/7000W inverter was perfect. I do my own home wiring, and I had already installed a mechanical interlock on my breaker box and the connector on the side of the house. To use a generator/inverter directly, it was imperative that I get one that I was certain I could unbond the ground and neutral. Many thanks to Champion for posting a video on exactly how to unbond the inverter! It only took a few minutes, and I was able to power the house without any problem! (I did put together a 115V plug with the ground and neutral bonded to plug into the inverter when it's not connected to the house.)
So that's the connection story. Now about the machine itself. It was very easy to follow the instructions which entailed installing the wheels, the handle, and connecting the battery. I did have to go get some oil since none was included, but that's not a big deal. I appreciated the funnel and long tube to facilitate putting the oil in. Once it was fueled up and the crankcase oiled up, it started right up. I was surprised that it wasn't louder; Champion put a heck of a muffler on it! The exhaust isn't much louder than just the sound of the machine running. I appreciate the smaller size of the inverter; it will be easier to store when not in use. And it's an attractive machine, too! I'm very pleased with the inverter, and will recommend it!

Started right up when unboxed following Simone steps. The shipping brackets were hard to get off. Mainly just remembering which way to turn them when it wasn’t the head of the bolt you were turning on some.
I started it with battery no problem and a few days later with one pull.
I tested it with the leaf blower attachment from my shop vac because it was handy.
Seems to be well made.

I’m only about 6hrs run time into this Champion generator but I’m liking it so far.
I had the Predator and returned it because of the 120v display issue that is a common complaint with them and because I found that the Champion version is actually cheaper through Amazon and has a 3yr warranty that it comes with. The Predator has a bigger tank, USB chargers built in, weather proof covers on start and eco switches and a CO monitor. The Champion has a smaller 4 gallon tank, a cigarette lighter socket and adapters for USB and 12v battery charging, no switch covers, no CO monitor (I don’t want or need anyway) but comes with a 3yr manufacturer warranty, the Champion manual is actually complete and a listing of part numbers for every single part of the unit, a metal fuel shut off valve instead of plastic and better quality control before it goes down the road. Between the two generators I feel the Predator engine surged more and didn’t keep a steady RPM but I did like the larger fuel tank. I’ve looked them over closely and it looks like the electrical parts are possibly the same. When speaking with the help line for predator I had asked what parts were available on the unit primarily concerned with the electrical parts like the inverter and stator he told me that stuff wasn’t available but listed what was. It was at that moment I made my decision to return the Predator and ordered the Champion. I wouldn’t doubt though that you couldn’t use the parts from WEH or Champion in the Predator. For me it was about price, parts availability, and warranty. I paid $1020 for the Predator without a warranty that included a 20% off coupon on top of sale price. I paid $920 for the Champion shipped to my door that came with a three year warranty and was delivered promptly. I do not regret my decision but I wish the Champion offered that oversized fuel tank!!!

Easy setup. Yes, I read the directions. Much quieter than my older unit (not a Champion). Photos are mostly in the order of operations. Added oil and fuel and it started right up. Love the electric start. Ran it about 30 minutes so far. Will do the break-in run later today. I used non synthetic 5W-30 oil because temps are high 20's to low 30's. I will be using synthetic 5W-30 after the break-in period. We gave temps from -10 to 100 throughout the year (North Central CT)
