Started right up when unboxed following Simone steps. The shipping brackets were hard to get off. Mainly just remembering which way to turn them when it wasn’t the head of the bolt you were turning on some.
I started it with battery no problem and a few days later with one pull.
I tested it with the leaf blower attachment from my shop vac because it was handy.
Seems to be well made.

I’m only about 6hrs run time into this Champion generator but I’m liking it so far.
I had the Predator and returned it because of the 120v display issue that is a common complaint with them and because I found that the Champion version is actually cheaper through Amazon and has a 3yr warranty that it comes with. The Predator has a bigger tank, USB chargers built in, weather proof covers on start and eco switches and a CO monitor. The Champion has a smaller 4 gallon tank, a cigarette lighter socket and adapters for USB and 12v battery charging, no switch covers, no CO monitor (I don’t want or need anyway) but comes with a 3yr manufacturer warranty, the Champion manual is actually complete and a listing of part numbers for every single part of the unit, a metal fuel shut off valve instead of plastic and better quality control before it goes down the road. Between the two generators I feel the Predator engine surged more and didn’t keep a steady RPM but I did like the larger fuel tank. I’ve looked them over closely and it looks like the electrical parts are possibly the same. When speaking with the help line for predator I had asked what parts were available on the unit primarily concerned with the electrical parts like the inverter and stator he told me that stuff wasn’t available but listed what was. It was at that moment I made my decision to return the Predator and ordered the Champion. I wouldn’t doubt though that you couldn’t use the parts from WEH or Champion in the Predator. For me it was about price, parts availability, and warranty. I paid $1020 for the Predator without a warranty that included a 20% off coupon on top of sale price. I paid $920 for the Champion shipped to my door that came with a three year warranty and was delivered promptly. I do not regret my decision but I wish the Champion offered that oversized fuel tank!!!

Easy setup. Yes, I read the directions. Much quieter than my older unit (not a Champion). Photos are mostly in the order of operations. Added oil and fuel and it started right up. Love the electric start. Ran it about 30 minutes so far. Will do the break-in run later today. I used non synthetic 5W-30 oil because temps are high 20's to low 30's. I will be using synthetic 5W-30 after the break-in period. We gave temps from -10 to 100 throughout the year (North Central CT)

So I'm 6 months removed from hurricane Ida.. I ran the wen 3800 super quiet which is the best generator I have ever owned. Problem is being out of power for 13 days I decided I needed a little more juice. Just un-boxed the 8750 champion, started right away and handled a load no issues. On eco I am surprised how quiet it is compared to a true open frame generator. I can stand 5 feet from it and talk at regular volume. Wide open is a little loud but not as loud as a true open frame. All in all I am very happy so far. Wish the wen was a little bigger. But had to do what I had to do. Already found a buyer for it.

Fired right up, works great. Had a Daiken 3 head split mini-duct dwelling area and garage hooked up to the transfer switch we had installed. Family didn't even know we were on generator power when we were testing it out! My only complaint is the placements of the oil and battery, which they could have been more easily accessible.

I agonized for a month between the Champion 100520 Inverter generator and the Firman Tri-Fueled generator that I purchased on sale from Costco but sat unopened in my garage. During my research the price of the Champion dropped below a $1000 and I took the plunge. I'm not disappointed in my decision.
Amazon's delivery was fantastic. I ordered it at the end of August and set up a deliver date and time near the end of September due to travel and then watched the unit go out of stock. I thought I'd never receive it but it was delivered exactly on time with a lot of communication and in perfect condition. The box was in perfect shape and the generator was very nicely packaged for protection by Champion.
Setup was very easy. 8mm and 10mm sockets removed the shipping brackets and placed the support leg and handle. Wheels and the actual handle use cotter pins. I added a bottle of 10W-30 oil (which Champion should include in the box) checked the oil, connected the battery, added some gas and the unit started on the first try with the electric start. I was surprised that there was not a lot of vibration to the generator while it was running. The generator is easy to move with the handle and wheels.
The generator runs very smooth. I actually think my Honda lawnmower is louder than the generator. In eco mode it's much more quiet. During the 5 hour break in period I changed the oil at the 2 hour mark. The oil was a bit dirty with some shimmery shine to it but no metal in the oil. I then added another quart of regular 10W-30 and ran the generator for another 3 hours using a heater and toaster oven to put some loads on both sides of it during the 5 hour break-in. At 5 hours I changed the oil again and this time it was really clean. It was almost like new oil. I then went to a 5W-30 full synthetic oil which the Owners Manual states is OK after 5 hours.
Champion says you shouldn't but I converted the generator to natural gas using a popular Tri Fuel conversion kit. No modifications needed. Everything was super easy and the generator fired right up on natural gas following their directions. It even smells better on natural gas. I had a plumber bring a 1 inch gas line outside and then hooked the generator to a 3/4 inch quick disconnect hose I got from Amazon sold by Onlyfire Outdoor LLC. Great hose with nice quick connect fitting.
This generator ships with the ground bonded to the frame. Champion has a nice video showing how to convert this to floating neutral so I could connect this to my home electrical panel. It's really easy.
I had an electrician put in an Interlock on my electrical panel and run a line to hook the generator from outside to backfeed my panel legally through the 30 amp 240 outlet. I can easily run my entire house (not using my A/C) with this generator. I'm going to purchase a cheap window A/C unit for any summer outages but I'm mainly concerned about a winter outage and not having heat. The inverter generator ran all my household electronics without any problems and no flickering lights (all LED). The 2 UPS on my computers didn't care that I was on a generator so I'm really happy.
I was quoted almost $18K to put in a whole house generator. Yes they are super convenient but in my 22 years in my house I've never lost power for over 12 hours even during Sandy. This does however give me piece of mind for a much lower cost. The generator now has almost 10 hours on it as I've played blackout running the house on the generator to see what it can an can't do and so far it's run 2 refrigerators, gas stove and oven, gas hot water furnace (tested it) all of our computers, TV, internet and lights and even my heated bathroom floors (by mistake) all without problems or overload. I just hope when I need it, it works!
I'd buy it again. Before purchase I contacted Champion to ask questions about the generator and they were super friendly and answered my questions quickly.
