This is a great shed. However, I recommend sealing the roof ridges and the entire roof with elastomeric roof coating before installing the ridge caps....More
This is a great shed. However, I recommend sealing the roof ridges and the entire roof with elastomeric roof coating before installing the ridge caps. The aluminum tape peels up over time and leaks. As you assembly the roof, apply the tape and roll the roof sealer on so you don't have to remove ridge caps later to apply it like I did. The white elastomeric coating keeps the shed at least 80% cooler inside as a huge benefit. I applied three coats of sealer and all is well now. White Rust-Oleum elastomeric roof coating is what I used. I also reinforced the roof for snow loading. I use a center post only in the wintertime. It is not installed in the picture.
