Quick-Set by Clam Venture 5-Sided Pop-Up Screen Shelter – Green

I long-researched for a yard gazebo to protect my backyard ice recovery bath setting from roof debris and for privacy. From rain, too—helps an 8°C/ 48°F ice bath feel as cozy as possible. This Clam Traveler couldn’t be more perfect, set up just beyond my backyard door.

Set up was under a minute. I thank the female reviewer who easily put up hers alone, with advice different than the instructions: once started, walk inside to finish pushing out up the sides.

I purchased 3 screen covers to keep it mostly dry. On cement, I ended up following another’s tie down advice of using three 5-gallon buckets filled with water (40 lbs) in the absence of “soil” — it’s withstood winds that previously lifted it off the ground before using them. Normal gazebo weights don’t work with X clam supports.

I added Solar lights inside, for occasional late night dips. Well made, keeps the rain out, yet sounds pretty. I added rubber mats at the bottom, too. (I learned about ice bathing from the Wim Hof Method. Before, I hated the cold.)

 Our camping game went to an entirely new level with the clam screen tent. Litterally sets up in minutes - and is not inside out like some posts. A few easy stakes in the ground and it's solid. The screen got the full Colorado monsoon test for 3 days and worked well. The water streamed over the outside of the screen when coming straight down. When raining sideways however it did splash through a bit but it's a screen tent and to be expected. Next purchase are the 3 pack of screen covers.

Thanks to reviews we chose the CLAM and it's exactly what we wanted; large, airy, and SO quick to put up (with two). The mesh appears quite dark from outside the pod but from inside is so fine it's like having windows and the green fabric blends into the surrounding landscape. After heavy rain, the roof fabric had repelled very well and although screens had let rain in everything dried out quickly. The quality of materials and construction is excellent and feels sturdy enough to leave up for summer, barring heavy storms.

My neighbor helped me set it up -- manufacturer says it sets up in 90 seconds...IT'S TRUE! I'm not sure it even took us 90 seconds. The size is amazing & the quality is EXCELLENT. I haven't had water on it, so I can't say anything about its water resistance. I can't wait to take this on my next camping trip. Once I knew I would be keeping this product, I ordered a set of 3 wind panels. I'm sure every camper around me will be jealous when they see me sitting in my Clam BUG FREE! I highly recommend the Clam - it's not just for camping...my neighbors are thinking of getting one for their backyard.

Awesome for keeping insects out! We haven't used it in rain yet. We'd definitely recommend using a tarp for the floor. Or buying the floor piece. The dogs were quite comfortable, however I would not advise leaving animals alone inside. It would be too easy for them to escape if left unsupervised.
