I have had this outside since 2016. I put it all together myself, female and 64 years old back then. Water does not accumulate in mine like I read others having issues with. We have had rain for the past few days down in Louisiana and stuff inside is high and dry. Now I do have a little gecko living inside, but that is okay, he will get rid of any bugs that may come his way. Just took these pics today after having downpours for the last 4 days and under flood warning until later on. Yes, I know I need to clean the deck box, but will do that whenever we get some good weather. I have shovels, hoses, charcoal, dirt, gallon yard sprayer, outdoor fountain, miscellaneous, etc. stored. Couldn't be without it.

I have had this outside since 2016. I put it all together myself, female and 64 years old back then. Water does not accumulate in mine like I read others having issues with. The top tray for small items is a great bonus. It holds all of my kid's outdoor toys, so now it doesn't look like a toy bomb went off in my backyard. It's great! We live in SoCal so the whole waterproof aspect isn't a huge concern, but the lid does clip down and can be locked as well, so I think it would be just fine in the rain.

As a box its perfect, as a seat/bench, I'm not too sure I would have more than one person sit on it at a time. When I sat back on it the top caved some. (I don't weigh that much!)
