On a recent power outage, this baby ran my full size refrigerator, deep freezer in my garage, WiFi, Tv with fire stick, two floor fans, and two lamps. Eco mode worked like a charm increasing and decreasing RPMs to meet demand all while super quiet! Fuel gauge and power monitor features helped me monitor performance with a quick glance.

Great design, Yamaha quality, perfect for traveling and keeping frozen stuff cold when power goes out. Really like the gas gauge and the led light over the control panel. Two handles so two older folks can carry together. And of course, nice and quiet!

The Yamaha EF2200iS has some advantages and disadvantages compared to the ever popular Honda EU2200i. I have used both generators, but ended up buying this Yamaha for my own use. The Yamaha has a fuel gauge, power load meter, better carry handles, tool-less access panel, tool-less carburetor drain, and by most measures a longer run time per tank of gas. The Honda is quieter, lighter, and smaller. Prices are very similar but it seems the Yamaha is often a little cheaper. Both are very easy to start and maintain. You can't really go wrong either way, but I feel you get a little more for your money with the Yamaha.

This generator is pretty quiet and is much easier to carry than the Honda. I really like the multi handle design. The reviewer who said that this is just as loud as an open frame generator must have gotten a dud. I have used many different types and sizes of generators and sure the Yamaha is a bit louder than the comparable Honda but it is nowhere near as loud as an open frame. Just my $.02.

Super quiet, sips gas, and easy to start. I really like that I can drain the carb easily in just a few minutes. So far it runs perfectly! I have always trusted Yamaha engines and have owned several (Outboard, ATV, Dirt Bike, Power washer and now a generator). Never had one issue with them and my outboard is over 25 years old.
Yamaha is always a good call
