Great Generator! I bought this as a back up generator for my house. There is no recommended break in procedure in the owners manual, but I found a break in procedure on a generator website. basically it is run at lowest possibly rpm (econ mode) no load for an hour, change the oil. Run for another hour no load, change the oil. Run for one more hour with a 1000watt load I used 2 500 watt ceramic heaters, and change the oil. After doing the 3 hours of break in I hooked it up to my house transfer switch, and running a refrigerator and 2 window air conditioners the load meter wasn't even at half. The only problem I have is the same issues other customers have had. Why there are not swivel casters on one end I don't know. but I solved this problem by making a cart (see pictures) that the generator now sits in all the time, it also makes changing the oil easier since the bottom the generator is about 6 inches off the ground. Lastly as other have said depending on the battery as the only means for starting is kind of a weak point. I solved this by keeping it plugged into a battery tender when not in use.
